Welcome to our June release notes

In this release we worked hard on launching the first version of the Tasks module, we have improved white-labelling features and payment functionality.  Our user interface continues to evolve as we migrate remaining modules to a new system.

Tasks

Our tasks module is designed to help you assign tasks to both internal users and clients.   It is currently turned off by default as we continue polishing the functionality.  However, you can turn it on yourself throgh Portal Group Settings page / Portal Tab Configuration

Once enabled, each portal in the relevant portal group will have a Tasks tab.  To create a new Task, go to the Tasks tab and click the “+” button.

Once a task is created, the person assigned to that task will receive a notification, which includes task’s name and description, among other things.

The tasks module includes:

  • customisable statuses (“Tasks statuses” module in Portal Group left hand side menu)
  • task reminders (“Settings / Reminders” in your chosen Portal Group)

Please expect more features and dashboards to be released over the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Portals

You can now change the default portal access profile for portal users.  Currently, when you invite a portal user to a portal, the default access profiles is “full access” which means that the invited user can read/write/delete files as well as invite other portal users to the portal.  That may not be convenient in all situations.  Although you can always restrict the access profile AFTER sending out an invitation, this requires further work.  We have now created a feature allowing you to define the appropriate access level.  You can find it in Portal Group Settings.

White label

  • We have now enabled the ability to upload your own Favicon (this is the small icon that appears in a browser tab next to the page title).  Note that this feature is visible only if you already have your own domain or mydocsafe subdomain set up.

  • We are now resuming the services of building and listing branded mobile apps (for both Apple and Google platforms).  Please contact sales@mydocsafehq.com for pricing.

 Payments

  • When using our ‘Services’ widget (to accept quotes or take payments) you can now create draft invoices directly in your Xero account
  • Our Stripe integration now supports 3D secure feature

UI improvements

  • We have now migrated Documents and Forms tabs in Portals to the new interface
